Although they hail from Texas, Voxtrot's animated indie pop easily receives comparisons to Belle & Sebastian and similar European groups. This Austin band's dance floor-filling twangy guitar hooks and surging choruses whirl alongside the glorious splendour of violin, cello, French horn, trumpet, and tender, emotive vocals. The band's reputation for writing deliriously perfect indie-pop songs reached the UK after emerging as firm favorites at both CMJ 2005 and 2006 SXSW music festivals, and after being lauded in Pitchfork as well as being Spin.com's "Band Of The Day".
