Boston, MA.-area jazz pianist Jacques Chanier minces a forceful approach with supremely melodic compositions on his second release, Quilt. VINYL FORMAT. Ridiculously prolific (this is their fourth release) and occasionally annoying in their desperate desire to be heard, this trio finally won me over because of its bountiful punk-rock energy, mod affections (album cover spoofs the famous picture of The Who huddled under the Union Jack) and gonzo sense of humor (witness the bad pun of the title).
