Rivulets -- Nathan Amundson's solo musical project -- is basically dusty bedroom folk music, although Amundson is an artist of the best slowcore tradition and crafts his songs with a cool and careful ambience. Of course, this might have something to do with him coming from Alaska, a land not especially renowned for its warmth, or it might have to do with his friendship with Low's Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker.
