This band was basically a side project of the Florida hardcore band Hot Water Music, and that's obvious from the gruff vocals. But this band is so much more than a side project. This is beautiful emo, complex yet melodic, with a hint of a post-hardcore sound. This album is excellent. "Last Night...After I Bought the Wine" sets the stage for a beautiful album with sweet lyrics, soft emo-rock music, and talking in between the sung lyrics.
