Taxxi was never a major name in the rock world -- its three Fantasy LPs weren't huge sellers, and its subsequent MCA releases received even less attention. Nonetheless, the British trio did enjoy a small cult following, which would love to see all of its Fantasy titles reissued on CD. Chequered Past looks like a promo man's dream band on paper. Take the rhythm section from Blondie, add guitarists Hunt Sales and ex-Sex Pistol Steve Jones, front the operation with journeyman vocalist Michael Des Barres and let them rock out to their hearts' content.
