The Epidemic is the solo work from Andy Dixon (ex DBS, current Red Light Sting, and founder of Ache Records). The sound he creates is a cut up, deconstrucionalist hybrid of indie rock and electronic music with abstract yet clever lyrics. His experimental, post hardcore "noise" leaps between minimalistic soft vocals over an acoustic guitar, reminiscent of Joan of Arc and The Sea and Cake to a full frontal attack on the ears that puts him in the game with colleagues Kid 606 or Mouse on Mars.
