Reissues of two classic albums from L.A.-via-Arizona band Green On Red. The re-mastered set brings together on one CD the seminal album Gas Food Lodging (1985) with their self-titled 1982 debut. Two "GFL"-era bonus tracks are also included. The 19-song set captures the band in both their early Paisley Underground phase and in their heyday as forerunners of the No Depression movement.

Green on Red's tinge of psychedelia was provided by Chris Cacavas' organ. But already, the band had traded in most psychedelic references for an Americana influence, along the lines of John Fogerty spiked with Roky Erickson.
