Since The Best of the Motels, released in 2003, contains the Motels' biggest hits -- "Only the Lonely" and "Suddenly Last Summer" -- it is all that the average casual fan of the band will want, but it is only a ten-track budget compilation that has neither the breadth nor the presentation of 2005's Essential Collection.
