Todd Deatherage started blending his love of old school country, jazz, and indie-rock in his hometown of Dallas, TX. After years of compiling songs, he recorded this disc, Dream Upon a Fallen Star, which was released in 2001 on Texas-indie label, Summerbreak Records. Old 97s frontman, Rhett Miller, is featured on a track. Shortly after, he moved to Brooklyn and quickly garnered a strong local following in the New York area.
