Hartley Goldstein is a Jew. Thanks for asking. He's also a 24 year old NYC-native; reared on the Yoko Ono-inhabiting streets of Manhattan's Upper West Side. From time to time Hartley writes music reviews. However, most of his days Hartley is busy crafting neurotic meta-folk pop tunes that could not be described as either "hushed," or "confessional." Hartley's debut 4-track EP is titled, Songs In the Key of Zoloft. It was recorded in Brooklyn, NY at the famed Fireproof Studios. The amazing Adam Lasus (Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah, Yo La Tengo) handled the production duties. Session vets like Joe McGinty (Devendra Banhart, Ryan Adams) and people from "seminal bands" (J.P. Jones of The Lynnfield Pioneers, Tommy Borschied of The Honeydogs, Dawn Landes of HEM) helped make recording the EP a pleasant experience.
