Insound recommended! Disparities & Alterations is Joseph Francis Machine's debut but also a 'best of' album of sorts, containing songs that were recorded between 1999 and 2006. Running the gamut of musical styles and genres, the songs were made in every which way possible - on a 4 track, with a computer, through a drum machine, and more often than not - using sub standard equipment. The tracks were distorted, bended, sped up, cut, pasted, processed, and cropped. Disparities & Alterations contains fragments of genres ranging from lo-fi indie pop to micro house and drum & bass.
