| I really love this album. And I really loved 1/2 of Mstrkrft (jfk's) album from one of his other projects "Death From Above 1979". I enjoy both. If you have an open mind and listen to music for the brilliance right in front of you instead of half listening and half referring to past brilliances you might just find yourself bobbing your head and having a great time. A great album by a great band. | |

| Hot on the heels of this release, MSTRKRFT mstr-mind Jesse Keeler announced to the world the demise of his two man band Death From Above 1979. It was this band that first propelled his self-indulgent electro/DJ/remix career; even at its worst was still better than MSTRKRFT. Of course, if you never cared much for DFA1979 in the first place, you might possess a penchant for this particular brand of house techno rave-ups. Head-bobbing catchy beats mixed with vocoders galore seems like good song writing in theory, except most songs err on the side of being several minutes too long. Of course, this is still more interesting than most of the other artists lumped into this genre, simply for the punk background that spawned this project. This really isn't as bad as it sounds, but in some ways, especially when compared to the glimmers of past brilliance, it kind of is. | |
