Epsilons return with Killed 'Em Deader 'N A Six Card Poker Hand, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album from last year. Ty Segall (guitar/vocals), Michael Anderson (keyboards), Charlie Moonheart (Bass), and Roland Cosio (drums) are all a year older, a year wiser and, as of this writing, all on track to be successfully graduated from Laguna Beach High School by the time Killed 'Em Deader hits the streets. The band that started out using Walkie Talkies to record vocals on early demos stay true to their garage roots, recording this time around at The Distillery with their hero Mike McHugh (Le Shok, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Rocket From The Crypt, Lightning Bolt, The Melvins, The Starvations, etc) behind the board. Killed 'Em Deader 'N A Six Card Poker Hand features 14 new tracks, including Epsilons' take on The Mummies' cover of "Stronger Than Dirt" (the original version of the song, nearly unrecognizable, was by Jay and The Techniques).![]()

| Killed 'Em Deader... is an album that reminds you of just how good it feels to be kicked where it hurts the most. This is a garage rock explosion just waiting to blow your mind. It's simple, of course, but effective nevertheless. This isn't an album that will change the way we think about music, it's just half an hour of straight-off, no-messing-around garage rock that will give you some an instant kick. Guaranteed. | |
